2022 Hall of Fame Announcement

The FCBL Hall of Fame is back after the pademic caused some halt to our yearly inductions. This year the 16 managers and 5 veterans committe voted in 6 new FCBL Hall of Famer's for their contributions to the FCBL. 

Jake Peavy in his final year of eligibility was able to crack the Hall. Jake pitched in 13 seasons finishing with a 140-75 record, 3.88 ERA and 1.24 whip. 1,853 strikeouts, 7 All star appearances and 3 championship rings. Jake will be representing Cory Adams and the San Fransisco Giants.

Johan Santana in his final year of eligibility also was able to make the Hall. He pitched 9 seasons finishing 133-72 3.93 ERA and 1.22 whip. 1,745 strikeouts, 2 Cy Young Awards and 4 championship rings. Johan will represent the Atlanta Braves and Erick Noland.

Felix Hernandez in his 1st year of eligibility made all but 3 ballots. A 1st pick in the 2006 draft by Atlanta, Felix than was traded to San Francisco. 152-93 with a 3.64 ERA and 1.25 whip. He completed 81 games which is ranked 10th all time after the 2022 season. 6 All Star apperances, 1 CY Young and 2 championship rings. Felix will represent the San Fransisco Giants and Cory Adams. 

Robinson Cano also in his 1st year of eligibility made the cut. Cano played 16 seasons hitting .284 with a .335 OB%. After the 2022 season Cano was still 9th all time in hits, 1st all time in doubles and 11th in total bases. He made 10 All Star games, had 1 gold glove and 1 championship ring. Cano will represent the Cleveland Indians and Justin Thome. 

The veterans committe chose 2 players on their 7 player ballot and it started with:

Alfonso Soriano played 14 seasons with multiple teams over his tenure in the FCBL. 343 HR's, 906 RBI's, 1,591 hits and 281 stolen bases which is 17th all time after the 2022 season. 2 All Star appearances and 4 championship rings. Alfonso will be shrined with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Bill Toth. 

 Scott Rolen played 14 seasons with multiple teams winning 2 gold gloves, 4 All Star appearances and 2 championship rings. .269 with 265 HR, 933 RBI, 371 doubles and played in over 1600 games. Scott will enter the Hall as a Seattle Mariner and Brian Goodwin.

Results: Players needed 9 votes and 3 from the veterans committe.
